Your Privacy is Important to Us
As a bank customer you have a right to financial privacy and Anadarko Bank & Trust Company respects this right.

 

Bank employees necessarily acquire confidential information that customers consider to be extremely sensitive. Our employees have been instructed that this information must not be revealed to unauthorized persons, and that this information is not to be discussed with others within the bank unless the others involved require the information to perform their duties. By bank policy customer financial information is released to people outside the bank only when the release is authorized by (1) the customer, (2) by the bank when needed to complete a customer initiated transaction, or (3) when the disclosure is required by or allowed by law (i.e., subpoena, investigation of fraudulent activity, etc.). Then, we make every effort to see that the information released is accurate and within the confines of the authorizing release document. The release of customer information is always based on a written document, and the release is in accordance with the written instructions contained in the document.

Under banking regulations we are required to give you a statement regarding the bank’s customer privacy protection policies. This notice contains the information the regulations require we give you.

USA PATRIOT Act. To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account, including business accounts. What this means to you: When you open an account, we will ask for  your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents. If you are opening an account on behalf of a business entity, documents relating to the business may also be requested.

E-mail. If you choose to contact Anadarko Bank and Trust Company by E-mail, your E-mail address and any other information on your E-mail header (such as your name or organization) will be attached to your E-mail. This personal information will only be used as a way to reply to your mail. Your E-mail address will not be sold to or shared with any other company. We will never request confidential information from you by E-mail. If you should receive any such request, please do not respond to it. Report any suspicious request to us immediately.

Links. Please note that other web sites linked to our main web page are not maintained by Anadarko Bank and Trust Company. If you choose to log onto a linked site, we cannot guarantee that it will follow the same privacy and security rules that Anadarko Bank and Trust Company follows.

Children. We do not knowingly solicit data from children, and we do not knowingly market to children. We recognize that protecting children's identities and privacy online is important and that the responsibility to do so rests with both the online industry and with parents.

Equal Housing Lender. Under the Federal Fair Housing Act, it is illegal, on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, handicap or familial status (having children under the age of 18) to: deny a loan for the purpose of purchasing, constructing, improving, repairing, or maintaining a dwelling, or deny any loan secured by a dwelling; or discriminate in fixing the amount, interest rate, duration, application procedures or other terms or conditions of such a loan, or in appraising property.

Equal Credit Opportunity. The Federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act prohibits creditors from discrimination against credit applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age (provided the applicant has the capacity to enter into a binding contract; because all or part of the applicant’s income derives from any public assistance program; or because the applicant has in good faith exercised any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act. Information the Bank Collects. We collect information on you when you open an account and through the administration of these accounts. The categories of information the bank collects includes: (1) transaction accounts, (2) savings accounts, (3) certificates of deposits, (4) safe deposit boxes, (5) credit applications, (6) loan accounts, and the like. We also obtain credit reports on customers from time to time.

Anadarko Bank and Trust Company recognizes and respects the privacy expectation of our customers and will disclose these principles of financial privacy to our customers on a regular basis. For your protection, we pledge to: (1) Use your personal information to provide high quality products and services; (2) Never sell confidential customer information; (3) Share information with third parties only as necessary to provide you with our services and products; (4) Provide accurate records of your accounts and applications based on your account history and the information you have provided us; (5) Request verification and authentication of identification before disclosing information; (6) provide security information and systems; (7) Comply with all privacy regulation and laws.

Categories of Parties to whom the bank may disclose information. This bank has no intention of selling customer lists to others so that they can market products directly to you.

Information about former customers. The bank does not treat information about former customers any differently than it does current customers. Specifically, the bank does not release nonpublic personal information about former customers to outside third parties.

Information disclosed to service providers and joint marketers. In the course of routine business, from time to time the bank discloses nonpublic information about its customers to third parties who are under contract to the bank to perform services for the bank. When we do so, the contract contains provisions that require the contractor to use the information only for the purposes intended and that the contractor not divulge the information it receives from the bank to others. For example, we disclose non-public information when it is necessary to service your account or prevent unauthorized transactions

Customer rights to “opt out.” If at anytime in the future the bank changes its policies and shares nonpublic information about customers with outside third parties, before doing so we will notify you of our intent and the notice will contain a telephone number you can call to opt-out. If you opt-out no nonpublic information that comes from your relationship with the bank will be shared with the third party. Before information is shared, you will be given a reasonable amount of time to make this opt-out decision, and thereafter you may choose to opt-out at anytime.

Disclosures required under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Under the law the bank is permitted to share customer information with sister organizations the bank is affiliated with. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act you have “opt-out” rights regarding certain information. Anadarko Bank and Trust Company has no such affiliations. 

Disclosures regarding confidentiality and security of information. The bank takes the confidentiality and security of customer information seriously. We restrict access to areas where customer information is kept and access to the information is granted only to employees who need that access in the performance of their duties. In addition, we have internal procedures that are designed specifically to protect this information from outsiders. We have internal procedures that ensure a customer’s financial information is accurate, current and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. We will respond to requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.

 

DEFINITIONS

Nonpublic Personal Information means information about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not include information that is available from public sources, such as telephone directories or government records.

An affiliate is a company we own or control, a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned by the same company that owns or controls us. Ownership does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have control.

A nonaffiliated third party is a person we do not employ or a company that is not an affiliate of ours. This is also known as simply, an “other party”.
